The culture behind our matcha
Every harvest begins in Kagoshima, Japan. There, family farms grow tea in the shade for 3 to 4 weeks to concentrate the chlorophyll and amino acids.
In the early morning, only the youngest, most tender leaves are hand-picked, one by one. It is this patient savoir-faire, passed down from generation to generation, that gives our matcha its color and sweet umami, without bitterness.
